What is UCG?

The University Center of Greenville is a consortium of higher education institutions dedicated to increasing access to educational opportunities for Upstate citizens. Greenville is one of the largest cities in the Southeast without its own University. To help our community maintain a competitive edge educationally, UCG was chartered to bring the undergraduate and graduate degrees from some of South Carolina's top universities.

Students can choose from more than 75 bachelor completion (Junior and Senior level courses), Master's and Doctorate degrees from Clemson University, Furman University, Lander University, Medical University of South Carolina, South Carolina State University, University of South Carolina and the University of South Carolina Upstate.

For students who need Freshman and Sophomore level courses, Greenville Technical College offers University Transfer Programs into many of the programs offered at UCG. Students apply to, pay, and receive instruction and credits from the partner institution they attend, while utilizing the collaborative benefits of UCG: technology center, onsite study rooms, ample free parking and more.
